Dear friends!

We are delighted to invite you to a reading by Ukrainian author Anna Molodtsova from her novel Tango of Water and Flame. You will have the opportunity to talk to the author in a relaxed atmosphere, ask her questions about the book and the creative process in general, and discuss how you can use creativity to help your dreams come true.

Anna Molodtsova (pseudonym for English-speaking audiences – Anna Molman) is a writer from Ukraine who now lives in Irvine, United Kingdom. She is the author of the novels ‘Tango Of Water And Flame’ – contemporary fantasy, science fiction, crime and romance; ‘Ljubow, Doschka i More’ (Love, the Board and the Sea) – contemporary romance; ‘Snyknenjnia Katryny’ (The Disappearance of Katrina) – a young adult adventure novel, eight other unpublished novels and many short stories, fairy tales and fables, some of which have been translated into English and published. Winner of the international REWRITE competition with the story ‘She Wanted To Return Home’, finalist in the ‘Fantastytschna Lesja. Slovo jak Krytsia’ (Fantastic Lesya. A Word Like Steel) competition with her story “Buty Sobojiu” (Being Yourself). Author of the course “Write Your Ideal Future. How to Write a Fairy Tale That Makes Dreams Come True.” Lecturer at RILA UNESCO. Writer with disabilities – type 1 diabetes since childhood, partial blindness.

The novel ‘Tango of Water and Flame’ was Anna Molodtsova’s first major work, which later showed her how writing fiction helps her to realise her dreams. The idea for this novel came to the writer in a dream, and while the novel was being written, Anna was inspired by further twists and turns in her spare time. The novel is in the fantasy detective genre, and it is quite difficult to find connections with the author’s life, but Anna was able to explore these patterns and confirm her theory by linking events in her life with those described in her other works. Since then, Anna has been sharing her insights with readers and participants at her events. ‘I’ve always loved reading and writing books with happy endings because I believe there is too much sadness in our lives to process in literature or films. And after exploring the impact of creativity on my life, I realised how important a good ending is for every single story,’ says the writer.
