Panstvo: A community that unites Ukrainian youth in Germany
The war has changed the lives of millions of Ukrainians, forcing them to leave their homes and find new ones. In 2024, many Ukrainians came to Germany, often without friends, without a familiar environment and without a sense of belonging. That is why we, Sofia Kustova, Maja Fesenko, Sofia Kaluzhna and Valeriy Andreyev, founded Panstvo in the summer of 2024 – a youth organisation that helps Ukrainians find friends, exchange ideas, develop their talents and feel at home.
Our first event took place on 13 July 2024, and since then we have been growing steadily, making Panstvo a real centre of Ukrainian youth culture in Giessen, Marburg and throughout Hesse.
Our goal is to create a vibrant and active community where everyone who has come to Germany can find support, friendships and opportunities for personal development. With us, you can learn, be creative, have fun and just be yourself. Panstvo is not just an organisation – it is a family.
Our activities
acting lessons
Every Wednesday, we meet for acting lessons where you learn to control your voice, body and emotions. This is a great opportunity to develop artistic skills, try out different roles and simply have a great time.
Our lessons are varied: sometimes we lead them ourselves, sometimes our teacher Hlib Avramkin, a graduate of the Kiev Academy of Stage and Circus Arts and a professional magician, takes over.
Saturday evenings: Game night, cinema or karaoke
Saturdays at Panstvo are evenings full of fun and socialising. We play board games, chess, PlayStation, host movie nights and karaoke nights. We also have a music room – a separate room with drums, a guitar and a piano where everyone can try their hand at being a musician!
Halloween crime thriller ‘Mystery Crime’
We love immersing ourselves in exciting atmospheres, which is why we organised the ‘Mystery Crime’ thriller for Halloween, where everyone could slip into the role of a detective or suspect.
New Year’s celebration
Before the holidays, we organised a warm and cheerful celebration where we exchanged gifts, made wishes and simply enjoyed spending time together.
Winter Ball – our first major success
On 1 February 2025, we organised the Winter Ball, and it was not just an evening of dancing and entertainment – we also held a large charity concert for an important cause.
Thanks to the talent and professionalism of director Viktoriia Buhaieva, we were able to put together a spectacular show in which music, theatre, magic and artistic performances created a true winter wonderland. On stage, there was:
- Dance performances
- Singing performances
- Theatre plays
- Magicshows
But most importantly, we collected donations for a mine clearance vehicle in Ukraine. Together with the organisation MAVKA e.V., we were able to make a real contribution to the safety of our country. This was our greatest success!
